BEFORE MIDI brings together DJ and producer Viziale and multidisciplinary composer Barabbah, who recorded the music live before rearranging it for peak-time vinyl play. That distinction gives the release its character: the recordings begin as performances, then take another form with a DJ set in mind. The result places the feel of a live take alongside the pull of rave-house nostalgia.
