What holds the record together is its sense of attack disguised as restraint. Kicks are lean, percussion stays needle-thin, and the rawer textures creep in at the edges like signals caught outside the system. The hypnotic loops give a DJ plenty of room to work, while the grit and personality in tracks like ‘Dirt Devil’ and ‘Heads’ are enough to stand out when the set dips into a heads-down section. It never feels blunt, but it never feels decorated either. It’s techno that understands the body as much as the machine.
